Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston (JBBBS) is seeking a transgender male or non-binary mentor (age 24-34) for Elliot, a 10-year-old transgender boy (pronouns-he/him/his). Elliot lives in Needham with a supportive, loving family. Elliot has many interests including playing video games (Roblox and Imposter), computer games and Tik Tok. He enjoys going for walks, getting ice cream (“all flavors”), listening to all types of music (Ed Sheeran and the Hamilton soundtrack are two favorites), bowling, drawing, and cooking. His favorite activity is swimming. Elliot is currently taking a drawing class and learning to play guitar. He really likes animals, especially cats and dogs. Elliot is not a “sports person” but enjoys being physical and active. Elliot would like to have a BIG with whom he can identify as he navigates this experience. The best fit would be a trans male or non-binary person between the ages of 24-34 who is warm, outgoing, and happy. A Big with a positive outlook on life would be a great inspiration. Someone who can be fun and silly would help Elliot feel comfortable as he can be a little shy upon first meeting someone. Lastly, Elliot wants a Big who will be a consistent person in his life. One need not be Jewish to volunteer!
